Third Place Co.
A dim bar at night, one person up out of the booth holding a bottle overhead while the rest of the table laughs.

A good table, six small pours, and people who come back. Here’s how.

Eight weeks of small, specific steps for starting a beer club that is still meeting in six months. No beer expertise anywhere in it.

How to start a beer club in eight weeks

Plenty of people would happily come out on a Thursday. Most of them are waiting for somebody else to pick the place.

Nobody stalls because they don't know enough about beer. They stall because starting a club means making about forty small decisions: which night, how often, where, how many people, who pays, and what you do when one person has clearly had enough.

The kit answers all of them for you. Every choice comes with a recommendation marked DEFAULT, and a note on when it is worth doing something else.

Eight weeks of specific steps, written down so you do not have to invent them.

A club is mostly the same table at the same time, often enough that people start counting on it.

The kit is built around that. It gives you the night to pick, the flight to pour, the message to send and the ninety seconds to say while the glasses are still empty.

Two glasses of hazy beer on a stone table, one just set down, the other still in somebody's hand.

Every decision in the kit comes with a recommended answer, so you can start tonight.

Anything you want to ask

What if it isn't useful to me?
Email matthew@vulcanax.com within 7 days of buying and you get a full refund. You don't have to explain why.
What am I allowed to do with it?
It's a single-club license: use everything to start and run one club, print the posters, adapt the scripts, and hand the house rules to your own members. You can't resell the files or run it as a paid product of your own.
Do I need to know anything about beer?
No, and the kit is written on that assumption. The default format is six small pours in four styles with one wildcard, and the only skill it asks of you is saying which one you liked. Document 03 picks the flights for you if you'd rather not.
Is it still a beer club if I don't drink?
Yes. One of the six pours is always non-alcoholic, every night, whether or not anyone asked. It is written into the default format, the house rules and the chat templates rather than added as an afterthought. Plenty of people organize a club they mostly don't drink at.
Are the house rules legally binding?
No. They're a plain-language template for a social agreement, not legal advice, and they don't transfer liability to anyone. Alcohol rules vary a lot by state and country, and hosting at home, charging money, or serving drinks yourself all change the picture. If you are doing any of those, talk to a local attorney and check your own insurance.
I've never organized anything. Is this too advanced?
That's who it's written for. Every decision already has an answer marked DEFAULT, so you can get through the whole eight weeks by taking the recommendation every time and changing your mind later.
How do I get the files?
Checkout runs on this site and the download link appears immediately after payment, plus a copy by email. You don't need to make an account.

Still deciding? The refund window is seven days and nobody asks why.
