Short version: this site doesn't set cookies, and the only measurement we run is an anonymous page-view count that can't identify you or follow you to other sites. When you buy something, your details sit with the shop that took the payment rather than with us.
What this website does
thirdplaceco.us is a set of static pages. It uses no tracking pixels, advertising tags, embedded video, comments or logins. The one piece of JavaScript it loads is the page-view counter described below, served from this domain. Nothing is stored on your device beyond your browser's ordinary cache of the pages, images and fonts you loaded. Fonts are served from this site, not from a third-party font service.
Our hosting provider, Vercel, processes standard server request logs (including IP address) to serve the site and protect it from abuse. We do not use those logs to build any profile of you. See Vercel's privacy policy.
Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views, so we know which pages people actually read. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and does not build a profile or follow you to other websites. It records the page you viewed and coarse technical details (country, referring site, browser and device type), and derives a temporary anonymous identifier from your request that is discarded and cannot be traced back to you. Requests go to this domain, not to a third-party tracker. See Vercel's privacy policy.
If you'd rather not be counted, a content or script blocker stops it, and the site works exactly the same without it.
When you buy the kit
Checkout is not handled here. We sell the Run Club Starter Kit through Gumroad, which acts as merchant of record: Gumroad takes the payment, holds your email address and any billing details, delivers the files, and sends your receipt. Their handling of that data is governed by Gumroad's privacy policy and terms. If you bought through another marketplace such as Etsy, that marketplace is the merchant of record for your purchase and its policies apply instead.
We can see order information in our seller dashboard: typically your email address, what you bought and when. We use it only to deliver the product, answer your questions and handle refunds. We don't sell or rent it, and we won't add you to a mailing list you didn't ask for.
The free sample
The Week 1 sample downloads directly from this site as a file. Downloading it does not identify you to us and does not sign you up for anything.
If you email matthew@vulcanax.com, we keep the message so we can reply and keep a record of support and refund requests. Mail sent to that address is routed by Cloudflare Email Routing to our own inbox.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data held about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Because the shop holds the bulk of it, requests about payment or account data are usually fastest directed at Gumroad. For anything we hold, email matthew@vulcanax.com and we'll action it.
Children
This is a product for adults organizing community events. It isn't directed at children and we don't knowingly collect data from them.
