Third Place Co.
A long table in a neighbourhood cafe in the evening, a dozen people talking along both sides of it.

There’s a club your neighborhood is missing. Let’s start it.

We make launch kits for run clubs, beer clubs and book clubs. Every decision already has an answer, so you can spend your evenings inviting people instead of deliberating.

How to start a run club, a beer club or a book club

A third place is somewhere that isn't home and isn't work, where the same people turn up often enough to become familiar.

They mostly don't exist by accident. Somebody picks a day, says it out loud, and keeps showing up until it is a habit other people can join. That person is usually not an organizer by trade. They are just the one who stopped waiting.

The hard part is never the activity. It is the hundred small decisions between the idea and the first evening: what to call it, which night, where, how many, who pays, and what you do when nobody comes. Each kit answers all of them, with a recommendation marked DEFAULT and a note on when it's worth doing something else.

Three kits. Same eight-week shape, different room.

Run Club

9 PDFs + 2 editable docs · 54 pages · instant download

The original. Eight weeks from an idea to a no-drop Saturday run that keeps happening without you standing over it.

Beer Club

9 PDFs + 2 editable docs · 56 pages · instant download

A standing table every other Thursday. Six small pours, four styles, one wildcard, and a rule that nobody drives.

Book Club

9 PDFs + 2 editable docs · 54 pages · instant download

One book a month, six to twelve people, and a rule that you come whether or not you finished it.

The person who picks a time and shows up twice becomes the most connected person in the neighborhood.

Anything you want to ask

Which one should I start with?
The one you would actually go to. Not the one that sounds most impressive, and not the one you think other people want. Pick the club you would be annoyed to miss. Momentum comes from the organizer wanting to be there.
What exactly do I get?
One ZIP, immediately after checkout. Inside are nine print-ready PDFs formatted for US Letter and two editable Word documents. Nothing ships and there is no subscription.
Do I need any experience?
No, and the kits are written on the assumption that you have none. Every decision comes with an answer marked DEFAULT, so you can get through all eight weeks by taking the recommendation every time and changing your mind later.
What if it isn't useful to me?
Email matthew@vulcanax.com within 7 days of buying and you get a full refund. You don't have to explain why.
What am I allowed to do with it?
It's a single-club license: use everything to start and run one club, print the posters, adapt the scripts, and hand the agreements to your own members. You can't resell the files or run them as a paid product of your own.
Are the waivers and agreements legally binding?
They are plain-language templates to start from, not legal advice. Requirements vary by state and country, and hosting at home, charging money, or serving alcohol all change the picture. Have a local attorney read anything you plan to ask people to sign.

Pick the one you would go to

Each kit is the same shape: eight weeks, nine documents, and an answer already written for every decision. All it needs from you is a date and a few people to tell.
